The El Limonar farm is located in mountains of Huehuetenango in a region called La Libertad. The land was acquired by Rogelio Aguirre Gálvez in 1955 and named the farm El Injerto.  In 1980 the farm was split in two. The bigger one kept the name El Injerto (today very well known Guatemalan farm) and was inherited by his son Arturo Aguirre, the other one was named El Limonar (which means "the lemon grove" as there were lemon trees spread around the coffee farm) and passed onto second son – Rogelio Aguirre Escobar. Today the farm is run by third generation of Aguirre family – Rogelio Jr with supervision of his mother Dona Rosa Maria Ovalle Mont.
