The store & cafe stocks a considered curation of leading international brands & products. Since March 2024, we also run & manage the Rains Dublin store.

Current Vacancies:

1. I&C Barista

  • Location: 9 Essex St East, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
  • Start Date: Mid-January/Early-February 2026.
  • Position Type: Full-Time (26-34 hours / 4-5 days per week.
  • Salary: Starting rate: €15 per hour. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years required in a speciality cafe.

The Role:

As a Barista at Café I&C, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Working with a carefully curated and rotating list of international roasters, you’ll showcase a deep passion for coffee and contribute to creating a warm, knowledgeable, and memorable service for our guests. You will work closely with the café and retail team to maintain high standards across drink preparation, customer interaction, and operational consistency.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve specialty coffee and beverages to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail across all café drinks and guest experiences.
  • Contribute to managing café stock, ordering, and inventory control.
  • Communicate product knowledge and stories behind our coffee offering to guests with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Support the team in daily café operations, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and attention to service.
  • Build customer relationships and help cultivate a welcoming, community-focused environment.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service and continually improve the café’s offering.
  • Support with in-store events, tastings, and seasonal activations related to the café.

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a café, hospitality, or similar customer-facing environment.
  • Passionate about specialty coffee and committed to providing high-quality service.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of customers.
  • Detail-oriented, accountable, and proactive in your work approach.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About Café I&C:

Opened in 2018, Café Indigo & Cloth operates on the ground floor of our store in Temple Bar. The café features a rotating list of leading international roasters, with a strong focus on filter coffee and a wide range of brewing methods. We consistently offer one of the broadest selections of filter options in Ireland, with 8–12 choices available daily alongside two espresso offerings.
