Pearl Reddington Gorse Flower Kerchief - Neon
Designed in Leitrim, hand dyed in studio, and knit in Dublin by Marian, the Gorse Flower Kerchief is a small, luminous piece shaped by place and process.
The yarn begins as a mohair tweed wool, traditionally spun by Donegal Yarns. Each piece is then hand dyed in studio, building a vivid yellow drawn from the brightness of gorse in bloom, that unmistakable colour that cuts through hedgerows and hillsides across the West. Knit using a tuck stitch, the structure opens the surface gently, creating a soft, airy texture that holds warmth without weight. It sits lightly at the neck, folding and draping with ease, more like an accent than a layer, yet quietly functional.
The scale is intentional. It can be tied simply or worn loose, bringing a sharp lift of colour against cream Aran, dark wool, or in contrast with denim. It feels both grounded and bright, something rooted in landscape but expressive in finish.
Each kerchief carries slight variation from the hand dyeing process, making every piece individual.
