Kathande Washing Station - Kenya (250g)

€26.00

Kathande Coffee Factory, founded in 1979 in Embu County, Kenya, operates at 1,800–1,900 masl as part of the Kagaari North Farmers’ Cooperative Society. With 536 smallholder members farming fertile volcanic soils, the cooperative emphasizes quality and strong ethical values, producing coffees that consistently perform well internationally.

Kathande uses a Kenyan fully washed process with a distinctive two-stage fermentation: cherries are pulped, fermented for 20–24 hours, washed, fermented again for 20 hours, then washed, graded, and dried on raised beds. This method builds clarity, brightness, and layered sweetness.
