Firstly, thank you for your interest in what we do.

Indigo & Cloth began as an ambition of mine when I first started out in the industry.

I am writing this retrospective two years on from when we first opened the doors. I say ‘we’ because there are, have been and will be many people involved with whatever it is we are doing here.

Indigo & Cloth is an independent fashion store based in Dublin. I came up with the name when I was working in a store in Sydney. I remember going and buying a laptop to start writing what was effectively ‘the business plan’. I was twenty six and halfway through my year around the world. Six months later and my eyes opened, I left New York, my final stopover and returned home.

So like any business plan, you need a mission statement or something on paper that keeps you focused. Here’s mine:

"It is not worth an intelligent mans time to be in the majority. By definition, there are already enough people to do that." - G.H. Hardy

Indigo & Cloth is an independent fashion store focused on what I consider to be the best fashion designers and brands in the world. We can’t stock them all so we choose carefully.

Indigo because my love and background is in denim so we have some really great denims in the store. You don’t need loads of jeans, just a few good ones. 

Cloth because we concentrate our selection on up and coming designers who can do simple yet exciting things with a selection of fabrics. There should always be ‘something’ about a piece you buy in the store.

Finally, Indigo & Cloth has extended the company into other areas of both commercial and personal interests including agency, consulting, PR and media. Let’s see what happens…
